Richmond Playcentre – Who we are? What we are? We provide an Early Childhood Education option in Invercargill. Our Playcentre celebrates the multi-skilled, amazing job that parents do, whilst offering support, friendship, information, resources, learning opportunities, and the chance to be part of your child’s education.

We use Te Whaariki, the Early Childhood Curriculum, which is used throughout the Early Childhood Sector. We offer parent education workshops through the Southland Playcentre Association Adult Education Programme and encourage our families to take part, as we are a parent co-operative and run our session through Team Supervision. Being a parent co-operative we work together to run the centre and provide quality sessions for our children.

We enjoy an increasing roll of children aged from birth to school age and an adult ratio of 1:5 to ensure a quality, friendly and a safe environment for our children and their families.
