For more than 50 years Totaravale Playcentre has been supporting families to play, learn, and grow together. We are a fun and welcoming multicultural centre that values learning through play, curiosity, exploration, and building relationships. We welcome parents and caregivers of tamariki from birth to school age and have a wide range of resources to cater to different ages and interests.

We value and affirm parents as the best and first educators of children, providing quality early childhood education within a community setting. Your tamariki will get the opportunity to learn and explore in a safe environment with a high adult-to-child ratio, all while having fun and playing! We are open for standard sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Thursdays we have a special bilingual session called Te Kakano, which has a focus on using Te Reo Māori. All levels of Te Reo are welcome to attend this session, and it is open to members from any Playcentre! Our centre is also used for SPACE classes on Tuesdays.

Totaravale Playcentre will become your second home, and you will find that we soon become part of your village. Totaravale Playcentre is currently closed due to extensive flood damage sustained during the floods in January 2023. We are not accepting any visits or enrolments – please reach out to other local Playcentres.
