Update 20 August 2021

20 August 2021

Kia ora koutou

We hope you and your family are healthy and safe during these uncertain times.

As you would have heard, all of New Zealand will remain at alert level 4 until at least Tuesday midnight, with cabinet meeting next Monday to decide on the next move for the country’s alert levels. This means that all Playcentres continue to be closed. We will provide an update next week when more information comes to hand.

Please continue to check in and look out for your Playcentre village.

Online PLD

Our Playcentre PLD team are currently working on online programmes.  PLD is provided for your own interest and learning.  There are no qualifications or credit attached it, just the joy of learning something new and having in-depth kōrero with other parents and educators. We will provide further details next week.

Virtual Village

At Playcentre we know the value of play and lifelong learning. The Virtual Village is full of resources to keep younger tamariki entertained at home.

Included in the resources are:

  • Māori play resources
  • Recipes for play
  • Education resources – play insights
  • Previous Playcentre journals
  • Play resources from centres
