As you would have heard:
This means that Playcentres will continue to be closed during that time.
Our dedicated COVID-19 section on the website provides the latest news relating to alert levels and the impact on Playcentre. It also includes related resources, information regarding education, information for staff, and PLD opportunities. The full text of the Ministry of Education Bulletins are available on our website here. MoE are currently providing regular updates. These MoE bulletins are for all ECE services and often include information that isn’t relevant for Playcentre. Our Playcentre updates attempt to highlight the specific information that is most relevant for Playcentres.
There have been reports regarding a few break ins to Playcentres throughout the country. If your centre designated person is visiting your centre please check your technology and other expensive items to ensure they are off site or locked away appropriately. If there has been any vandalism or significant damage to buildings that need immediate works please contact your Property Coordinator.
The Spinoff have released new graphics focused on the symptoms of the UK variant, and translated it into six languages: English, Māori, Sāmoan, Mandarin, Hindi, Tongan and Punjabi.
These are free to reproduce and share across social media, print, or place in emails and on websites so feel free to share amongst your centres.
