Update 7 April 2020

Tēnā koutou katoa

This morning I met with the members of our Trustee Board.  They were very keen to lend their support to us all as we deal  with this COVID-19 situation.

They have asked that I share this message from them..

Kia ora koutou Playcentre

We are aware of the challenges you, our members are dealing with currently in Level 4. You are in our thoughts constantly. In this time of isolation, we want to assure you that we are still working on your behalf behind the scenes in Playcentre Governance. We want to thank Sean, his team and our members for the continued mahi in supporting us all.

We know our Playcentre members will shine because supporting our communities, our village, is our whakapapa, our point of difference and it what makes us the awesome organisation that we are.

Stay home, keep safe, hug your babies, look after your village – especially the elderly.

Noho ora mai

Your Trustee board: Avis, Ruth, Char, Ranee, Tiso and Michelle.

I would also like to thank the board for their keen interest and ongoing support at this time.

Yesterday we put out a media release to publicise our Virtual Village, which has been getting some wonderful feedback.  One of the activities we are promoting at the moment is playing with ice, something always popular with tamariki in our centres. You can check it out here.

Ka kite anō au i a koutou.
