Playcentre Education offers a flexible, NZQA-approved programme that is recognised across early childhood education settings. It’s available at zero cost to Playcentre whānau and supports licensing and funding requirements. Learners can choose between full-time study over six months or part-time options spanning one to two years. The programme is delivered through a blended learning model that combines online modules, in-person workshops, and practical experience.
Playcentre Education offers a unique opportunity for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to gain a nationally recognised NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4). This hands-on, flexible programme is designed to fit around busy family lives and is delivered through a mix of face-to-face workshops, webinars, and online modules.
At Playcentre, you’ll experience hands-on learning alongside your tamariki in rich play environments supported by high adult-child ratios. You’ll become part of a welcoming community with opportunities to extend your own learning and confidence and grow into leadership roles. The learning you gain from our programme supports and empowers you as a parent/caregiver and strengthens your CV as you look ahead to future career opportunities.
