Big Rock #3: New operational model
Last month, I updated everyone on our Big Rock #3 strategy to pilot a new operational model. I’m excited to let you know that we are currently rolling out the pilot, including the introduction of a kaimahi role, to the initial tranche of Centres.
The new operational model is where we aim to put a framework around each Centre to take away the burden of admininstration, to allow whānau to focus on being the first and best educators of their tamariki, through the delivery of curriculum, adult education and building their communities.
For more detailed information about the new operational model being piloted please visit the Pilot page on our website, where you can find questions and answers and dates for Zoom hui where our Centre whānau will be able to connect with the project team.
We know many of our whānau may be interested in the Kaimahi role. Although at this stage we are not formally recruiting for this role, we would like to hear from you, or anyone that you know may be interested. Please complete the kaimahi expression of interest form on our website if you’d like to hear more about this role.
If your Centre wishes to be considered for the pilot of the new operational model, please complete this Centre expression of interest form.
We look forward to sharing how the pilot is progressing and Centre’s experiences over the next few months.
He waka eke noa – We’re all in this together. Join us as we work towards a sustainable future for Playcentre where tamariki and whānau are empowered to play, learn and grow together.
Ngā mihi nui me ngā mihi aroha,
David
