Update 6 May 2020

Tēnā koutou katoa
Events seem to be moving apace now, with the latest information from the Government an announcement that the requirements for Alert Level 2 will be revealed tomorrow.  The Ministry of Education has told us that a decision about when New Zealand will move to Alert Level 2 will be made by Cabinet on Monday 11 May. The Prime Minister has said that the move to Level 2 would occur with 48 hours’ notice.  The purpose is to give early learning services at least week to prepare from the time the public health requirements are announced tomorrow.
Tomorrow, you’ll be able to find a range of information on our website offering further guidelines on how to prepare Centres to open. Our Property Manager,  John Manning, has put together a basic checklist for property, which will be added to our current guidelines on the website.
I am to attend a meeting with all the Early Childhood Services later today, and expect to have further information about re-opening, which I will share with you tomorrow.

Ka kite anō au i a koutou.
