9.10 Covid-19 Vaccination Policy

9.10.1 Covid-19 Risk Assessment

The purpose of this document is to:

  • Provide a H&S risk assessment in respect of the exposure to and transmission of COVID-19 in our workplace in circumstances where:

    • There is community transmission of COVID-19; and

    • New Zealand is operating under the Alert Level System, the COVID-19 Protection Framework System, or under an equivalent Government directed or ordered framework; and

  • Determine effective controls to eliminate or minimise the risk of exposure to and the transmission of Covid-19 so far as reasonably practicable.

This risk assessment has been undertaken to:

  • Keep workers and volunteers, visitors, tamariki and the wider community healthy and safe.

  • Apply relevant guidance from the Ministry of Health and other Government agencies.

  • To ensure the appropriate safe working practices of all workers and volunteers, visitors, and tamariki during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

  • Encourage a safe and respectful work environment and good communication between all stakeholders.

9.10.2 Centre Covid-19 Cleaning Protocol

Due to Covid-19 Playcentre Aotearoa are releasing a Cleaning Protocol for Centres to carry out at the end of each session.

The purpose of the cleaning is to make sure all staff, centre members and tamariki are protected as much as possible from Covid-19 whilst in our Playcentre environments. This cleaning protocol MUST be used after each Playcentre, Playgroup or SPACE Only/Babies Can Play Session. Centres may wish to employ a professional cleaner to undertake the cleaning outlined below, if this is the case they will need to pass this cleaning protocol onto the cleaner to be followed.

9.10.3 Offices Covid-19 Cleaning Protocol

Due to Covid-19 Playcentre Aotearoa are releasing a Cleaning Protocol for NSC and Regional Offices to carry out.

The purpose of the cleaning is to make sure all staff and visitors are protected as much as possible from Covid-19 whilst in our Playcentre workplaces. Workplaces may wish to employ a professional cleaner to undertake the cleaning outlined below, (if this is the case they will need to pass this cleaning protocol onto the cleaner to be followed) but some of the following cleaning should be carried out as “good practice” on a daily basis by everyone.
