Formed in 1941, Te Whānau Tupu Ngātahi o Aotearoa – Playcentre Aotearoa is a licenced early childhood education provider and charitable trust. About the role:
As a Programme Facilitator, you lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of our Space sessions. You strive to create engaging, nurturing experiences for whānau and pēpi.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Planning and setup of the sessions ensuring any equipment is safe and clean
- Leading discussions, music and movement, play, crafts, and kai time
- Building relationships with whānau and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment
- Ensuring session admin tasks are completed in a timely matter
Position details:
- Commencing 22 April 2026
- Wednesdays 9:00am – 12.30pm, 3.5 hours per week
- Fixed term role ending 16 December 2026 during term time only

About you:
You are someone who is reliable, works well with others, and feels confident supporting whānau in a group setting. This role offers a chance to build your experience, develop new skills, and make a positive impact in families’ parenting journeys.
You will also demonstrate:
- Proven ability to engage confidently and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a personable and cooperative style.
- Strong organisational capabilities, including time management, meeting deadlines, multitasking, and balancing detail with overall objectives.
- A motivated, results-focused attitude that supports positive outcomes.
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
