Administration and Grants Coordinator

New full time position role with plenty of variety. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the effective running of Playcentre Aotearoa, through the provision of second to none administration support services and the coordination of the organisation’s Grant Application process.

About the role

Full time position (school hours will be considered for the right person) New role with plenty of variety Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the effective running of Playcentre Aotearoa, through the provision of second to none administration support services and the coordination of the organisation’s Grant Application process. The role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst making the role your own.

Key areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing high quality grant funding applications and accountability reports
  • Identifying, researching and acting on new funding opportunities
  • Maintaining the supporter database and providing regular updates
  • Responding to supporter enquiries and providing receipts and other information
  • Assisting with the organisation of a variety of meetings (Board, AGM, conference, Governance Hui)
  • Providing IT and Telecommunications support

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in providing administrative support to senior management and/or Governance Boards
  • Ability to confidently and professionally represent Playcentre Aotearoa to potential and existing supporters
  • Efficient and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with a broad range of people
  • A methodical and meticulous approach with high attention to detail
  • Ability to apply initiative, common sense and problem solving skills
  • Flexible and thrives on complexity and adaption
  • Proven experience with database management, particularly in the areas of data capture
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programmes
