About the role

Permanent Part time Position. This role is to support 1 centre – Hawera in Taranaki with their administrative tasks, to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures or legislation. Also, in general allow the centre to focus on working with children and their caregivers by ensuring administration completed. Specific tasks will vary from centre to centre.

The focus of the role is to simplify administration where possible, to upskill Centre Members where needed and ensure essential administration tasks are complete (by doing some themselves where
time permits, but also coaching Centre Members so any time used on admin is efficient). Please note this may change from time to time as reasonably required by Playcentre Aotearoa.

Location

Hawera Playcentre, 89 Fairfield Road, Hawera, 4610.

Hours

2 hours per week.

Skills and Experience Required

  • A passion for Playcentre and its philosophy; passionate about children and families 
  • A background of strong involvement at centre level and can collaborate within our parent-led ECE setting 
  • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
