Programme Facilitator – Auckland Region

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Programme Facilitators to join our team in the Auckland region. You will assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Space Programme and work with babies and their whānau, ensuring participants are supported to build relationships with each other. As a Programme Facilitator, you and your co-facilitator will help parents and their babies connect with other new parents while exploring parenting, children’s development and most importantly, play, in a safe environment.

Position description:

We have several roles available with various days and hours available at various Playcentres across the Auckland region. We are open to negotiating days, times and locations that work for you and our needs.

This position is permanent beginning on or near 17 October 2022.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have completed Playcentre Course 3, an equivalent ECE qualification, or higher, or be currently enrolled in Playcentre C-Series, an equivalent ECE qualification, or higher.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be prepared to complete this.
  • Be prepared to facilitate across multiple centres.

Desirable skills and experience will include:

  • A passion for working with new babies alongside parents and caregivers
  • Knowledge and understanding of the value of Playcentre and its philosophy, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and using Te Reo on session; and how to apply Te Whāriki
  • Having great interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence speaking within a group
  • Having completed prior Space/ Babies Can Play training will be advantageous but is not necessary.
