Programme Facilitator - Invercargill


As a Space Programme Facilitator you and your co-facilitator will help parents and their babies connect with other new parents, while exploring parenting, children’s development and most importantly play. Space facilitator contracts are fixed term for the length of each programme. The programme runs for three terms and is 3.5 hours a week -starting from the week of the 18th October.

Space is an amazing programme that gives new parents that “village” they need to help raise their baby. Many Space members move on to become Playcentre families. Please visit the Space NZ website for more information on Space

Days & Hours:

3.5 hours per week with the possibility for this to increase in 2022

Start date:

18 October 2021

Skills and experience required:

Hold a Course 3 Playcentre qualification or higher, or equivalent ECE qualification

  • A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all ages;
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to apply Te Whāriki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and using Te Reo on session;
  • Be prepared to complete the Space NZ Facilitators training (cost paid for by NZPF).
  • Have knowledge and passion for working with families and new babies.
  • Be a fantastic communicator with confidence speaking within a group.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be prepared to complete this
