Session Facilitator - Makarewa Playcentre, Invercargill

About the role

We are looking for a Playcentre Course 4 or Early Childhood qualified person who is self-motivated and fun loving to join our team. Our centre focuses on working alongside our tamariki and whanau to become community-minded people who are rich in life skills.

Permanent Part Time Position – 7 hours per week (2 x morning sessions) during school term time

Hours

Availability to work 2 mornings Playcentre sessions per week, from 8.45am – 12.15pm (including 30 min prep time for each session)

Makarewa Playcentre, Invercargill

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will have:

• A passion for Playcentre and its philosophy.
• A background of strong involvement at centre level preferred but not essential.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and children.
• Playcentre Course 4 or above; NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care L4 or above; ECE Diploma or Degree
• Enjoys working with a mixed age range of children from 0 – 6 years.
• Will enjoy supporting and empowering the parents who attend.
• Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
