Session Support Worker - Korokoro Playcentre - Fixed Term Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic session support worker to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community

Closing Date: 17th March 2021 – 15 December 2021

Location 

Korokoro Playcentre located at 38 Singers Rd, Korokoro 5012

Hours

9.00am to 12pm – 6.00 hours per week (Wednesday and Thursday mornings). 17th March 2021 – 15 December 2021

Skills and Experience required:

Hold a Course 3 Playcentre qualification or higher, or equivalent ECE qualification

  • A passion for Playcentre and its philosophy
  • A background of strong involvement at centre level
  • Have knowledge and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to apply Te Whāriki
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

We are welcome to applicants applying for this role who may also be in a caregiving role and wish to bring the child with them. If your child is joining you, one expectation is one session would be undertaken on a voluntary basis in line with Playcentre Aotearoa parent co-operative member expectations.
