About you:

You are reliable, work well with others, and feel confident supporting whānau in a group setting. This role offers a chance to build your experience, develop new skills, and make a positive impact on families’ parenting journeys.

You will also have:

  • Minimum Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification L4+
  • Current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this
  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
  • Passion for Playcentre philosophy and empowering whānau
  • Strong organisational capabilities, including time management, meeting deadlines, multitasking, and balancing detail with overall objectives.

About the role:

As a casual Facilitator, you work alongside our members and tamariki to guide activities and facilitator learning at sessions and/or at our Space programme.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Engage children in playful, stimulating, and imaginative experiences that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and independence
  • Setup of the sessions, ensuring any equipment is safe and clean
  • Leading discussions, music and movement, play, crafts, and kai time
  • Contributing to a safe, welcoming environment
  • Promote inclusive learning by encouraging communication, expression, and the development of positive learning dispositions
