Playcentre Aotearoa One-on-One Clinics

Appointments are available with Tonya (Grants Administrator) to discuss advice on where to apply, how to word your application, what to include with your application and any other questions you may have about grants.

There are appointments available every Wednesday at 10am for Playcentres across New Zealand. Register for one appointment, or multiple, depending on the help you need.

Once you have booked an appointment, Tonya will be in contact to organise a Zoom or phone call appointment for the time and date that you have booked. If that time does not suit, send an email to [email protected] and we can arrange another time.

You can also click on the link at the bottom of my emails and book a session through MS Office Teams on Mondays and Wednesday mornings.

Les Mills is proudly New Zealand owned and operated, with 12 clubs from Auckland to Dunedin, each providing a unique fitness and wellbeing offering. Corporate membership includes a 7 Day Free Pass and discounted membership rate. Email [email protected] for more information. Playcentre members can use the “Ministry of Education and Teachers” corporate affiliation. When needed, email [email protected] to get a letter confirming you are enrolled with Playcentre.

See our website for more information on other “Centre Discounts” with offers from several companies including the Playcentre shop, Red Cross, Harvey Norman (commercial rates), Kohab (15% off bird feeders and bird houses), Resene and Ecostore.

Please note that these are not exclusive/approved suppliers or specific Playcentre recommendations and you are more than welcome to use a local option, especially if they are cheaper.

New Discount for Centres

Paku NZ are offering 30% off their products if you order for your Playcentre and request an invoice from them.

Paku is a New Zealand design studio dedicated to creating products uniquely of Aotearoa. They do this by combining mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) with the latest technologies to reimagine the objects around us in a bicultural way. Their first products are Paku Toki and Paku Timo, a reimagining of the traditional agricultural tools used in New Zealand.

Registered Charities

It is important for Centres that are registered charities to ensure their purpose, structure, officers, and rules on the Charities Register are up to date. Several Centres still mention New Zealand Playcentre Federation and Associations and this should be changed to Playcentre Aotearoa. It is also important that any Centre that is a registered charity and an incorporated society has the same rules on both websites. Funders will look at your details online, and it is important that they are correct.

While the Trust Deed has been approved, Centres still need to maintain their charity registration until the new operating model is in place.
