Celebrate the Lord of the skies
Celebrate the New Year
E te whānau o Te Whānau Tupu Ngātahi o Aotearoa,
We are near to the rising of Matariki and Puanga before the dawn of the new day and the New Year. In the Maramataka, the Māori lunar calendar begins in Pipiri (June/July) Although it is tino makariri (very cold) we can use this time to come together with our whānau and friends to remember our loved ones, to celebrate with our whānau and friends and to consider our plans for the future.
