Playcentre Aotearoa Hui 2022 postponed due to Omicron outbreak

We hope you and your whānau are staying safe through this challenging stage of the Omicron outbreak. We certainly appear to be in the thick of it now!
As mentioned in our last message, Trustees have been busy planning for Hui 2022. Back in 2021 Whare Hui was deferred and re-scheduled for 1st of April 2022. Owing to the pandemic resurgence and a variety of other issues the Trustees have now agreed to push this date out to June (exact date TBC).
Kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face) has always been the preferred option for House Hui, and considering the impact of Omicrom, it seems unlikely that this could occur only a few short weeks from now. In addition, Trustees are keen to support effective engagement in the hui by ensuring appropriate timeframes for distribution of papers beforehand.
Hence the decision to push out the Hui date to June. We are currently investigating possible dates and will be back in touch with a full timeline once we have more information.
Thank you for your patience while we’ve considered the various options, and apologies for any inconvenience caused. Fingers crossed we can gather together soon to put our collective heads together for the future of our organisation.
