Permanent Full-time Role | Monday to Friday | National Office in Porirua
Primarily office-based with the opportunity to work from home from time to time by agreement
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Accountant is responsible for producing accurate financial reporting for internal use and external compliance.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the financial system – Dynamics Business Central
- Ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial data in Business Central
- Monthly financial reporting to the Board
- Leading year-end financial reporting and engagement with external auditors, with the support of the CFO
- Preparing and filing GST returns
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A qualification in accounting or commerce
- Membership of CAANZ or equivalent professional body
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in managing a medium to large financial system
- Experience in internal and external financial reporting
- Good relationship skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Desired:
- Knowledge and experience within a charitable organisation
- Experience in Dynamics Business Central
