Milson Playcentre opened in 1956 and is a child-focused, whānau run early childhood centre that offers quality early childhood education to mokopuna (children) aged 0-6 years following the Playcentre philosophy. All of our sessions are mixed age and on any session we are licensed to have up to 15 children under 2 years of age and a total of up to 21 children under 6 years old. We are located in the suburb of Milson, Palmerston North and our whānau come from Palmerston North and many of the surrounding towns in the Manawatū to attend.

Our program is based on Te Whāriki the Early Childhood Curriculum in New Zealand. Our whānau are supported by our Team Leader to offer many opportunities for learning and development both indoors and outdoors. Some of the favourite activities of our mokopuna include painting, sand, messy play, puzzles and process cooking.

We offer a free NZQA accredited training program that is transferable to other ECE services and creates employment opportunities for our whanau.

We welcome visitors at any time during session hours (no need to call first) but we recommend checking our Facebook page on the day of your visit in case there are any trips or session changes.
