We are pleased to have several new Kaimahi joining the Pilot team this term. We welcome and thank these Kaimahi for taking on the role as we navigate our way through Ki te pae tawhiti, to distant horizons.
It is very exciting to see the progress and learning coming from the Pilot of the Kaimahi role. Centres have appreciated the time spent building relationships at the Centre, and the handover of roles progressing at the pace that they are comfortable with, with time taken to understand how the Centre works before taking over tasks.
We mentioned that we were inundated with expressions of interest in the Pilot and that many of these Centres told us that they were ready to come across to Playcentre Aotearoa as a Branch (the term used in the Trust Deed), so we now have a Branch Agreement to support this. Centres that show they are ready to take the next step by following the process to sign a Branch Agreement will be prioritised to move across to the new model and have a Kaimahi put in place as the project team plans for the next steps for Big Rock #3, the new operational model.
We are excited to be progressing this mahi and working towards being able to move Centres across to the new model as quickly as possible. Look out for further information in the coming months in this Bulletin, on our Facebook page and on our website.
Our next Zoom hui will be on 18 November and will focus on the Branch Agreement and the roll-out plan. We encourage you to submit your questions prior to the hui, so we can answer the questions we know are important to you.
