NZQA External Evaluation Review

We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that the Playcentre Aotearoa Education program has received a “Highly Confident” rating—the highest possible—in both Educational Performance and Capability in Self-Assessment from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) following our recent External Evaluation and Review (EER).

This result reflects the strong outcomes, robust support systems, and effective practices that directly benefit our Playcentre communities and whānau. It affirms that our Adult Education program continues to deliver high-quality learning experiences and reassures stakeholders about the quality of education we offer.

This achievement is something we can all be incredibly proud of!

Ngā mihi nui to our Education team for all the work they put in for all our ākonga; it is through their dedication to educational excellence that we have achieved this outstanding outcome.

Education Celebrations

The recent Playcentre Education award ceremonies, held across the country over the last couple of months, have been joyous celebrations of the incredible achievements of our graduates. It has been both a pleasure and a privilege for members of the Playcentre Trustee Board to attend some of these ceremonies and honour the success of individuals completing Playcentre Introduction Awards (PIA), Playcentre Education Awards (PEA), Primary Teacher Bridging Awards and New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4).

At Playcentre, we hold firm the philosophy that parents are the first and best educators of their tamariki. It is heartening and inspiring to witness the growing number of Centre whānau completing Playcentre education, wholeheartedly embracing this role.

Hearing from graduates about the impact of their education journey has been particularly moving. Many have shared that the knowledge and skills gained through Playcentre education have not only given them the confidence to nurture and support their own tamariki’s learning but have also enabled them to actively contribute to their Playcentre communities, by supporting other adults and tamariki on their learning journeys.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our graduates for their success.
