Dinsdale

Dinsdale Playcentre is a quality early childhood centre set in a quiet urban cul-de-sac in west Hamilton. We are close to the centre of town and draw on many neighbouring suburbs. Our well-resourced centre is at the end of the street, bordering a gully.

Parents all share in the running of our centre and our sessions focus on Playcentre Philosophy with child-led activities, high adult to child ratios, and 16 plus areas of play in a fun supportive environment.

We believe parents and whanau are the first and most important educators of our children and children learn best by doing what they love- playing!

Dinsdale Playcentre received the highest rating possible in our last ERO review – “very well placed” to promote positive learning outcomes for children.

We welcome families to visit with their preschool children- birth to school age and check out what we do.

‘Come for a coffee, come for a play! No need to book, just turn up on the day! Pack some healthy snacks, a drink of water, sunhat & a change of clothes for your tamariki as there is a lot to do. We look forward to seeing you! ‘

Please feel free to drop in for a visit, call or email with any queries or check out our Facebook page www.facebook.com/Dinsdaleplaycentre

At Playcentre, early childhood education is a shared journey. We value parents as the first and best educators for their tamariki, which is why parents attend alongside their tamariki – to play, learn and grow together.

Whether you have a new pēpī, preschooler, or are new to a community, Playcentre provides a place for whānau and communities to come together.

If you care for tamariki aged 0-6, we invite you to visit and experience our affordable, unique, and child-led environment. Our centres encourage learning through free play and nurture imagination, confidence, and connection.

Our licensed early learning centres follow the Ministry of Education’s world-leading bicultural curriculum, Te Whāriki, offering 16 different areas of play set up to cater for different interests, skills, ages and abilities.

We also provide a free, NZQA-approved, adult education programme for enrolled whānau to add practical strategies and skills to your parenting toolbox.

We offer three visits before you enrol. Arrange a visit today and experience our supportive, fun and friendly community for yourself!
