Wyndham Playcentre is the only Early Childhood Education Centre in Wyndham. We attract families from the Wyndham township and surrounding rural areas. We have a great group of children and adults, and are parent led with everyone taking part.
We offer at least 16 areas of play including sand, messy play, puzzles, books, collage, painting, carpentry and many more. We, along with all Playcentres follow Te Whariki, the early childhood curriculum.
We offer a friendly environment for children to learn, through mixed ages and a great adult to child ratio of 1:5, which enriches our children’s learning.
There is even a great learning opportunity for adults. As well as learning parenting skills, we offer free study towards child development; through Playcentre workshops and assessments run by the NZ Playcentre Federation
We are included in activities around the Wyndham area including pet days and athletics.
We have low termly fees. And with each paying child their sibling over 2, are at half the rate. Under 2’s are cheaper still
Our centre is registered with WINZ, so you may be able to use this option to pay for some or all of your fees.
You are able to have 3 free visits to see if Wyndham Playcentre is for your family. We look forward to meeting you soon.
At Playcentre, early childhood education is a shared journey. We value parents as the first and best educators for their tamariki, which is why parents attend alongside their tamariki – to play, learn and grow together.
Whether you have a new pēpī, preschooler, or are new to a community, Playcentre provides a place for whānau and communities to come together.
If you care for tamariki aged 0-6, we invite you to visit and experience our affordable, unique, and child-led environment. Our centres encourage learning through free play and nurture imagination, confidence, and connection.
Our licensed early learning centres follow the Ministry of Education’s world-leading bicultural curriculum, Te Whāriki, offering 16 different areas of play set up to cater for different interests, skills, ages and abilities.
We also provide a free, NZQA-approved, adult education programme for enrolled whānau to add practical strategies and skills to your parenting toolbox.
We offer three visits before you enrol. Arrange a visit today and experience our supportive, fun and friendly community for yourself!
