We’ve seen fantastic momentum with grant activity this year. A sincere thank you to every centre working hard to bring in funding for your communities. We want to keep supporting this energy while ensuring national processes are followed so funding is recorded correctly, acknowledged, and compliant.
A quick reminder
All grant applications must be lodged through the Grants Team. We know some centres have submitted applications before letting us know, and while we absolutely love your initiative, we do need to be informed so we can:
- Track applications and approvals for transparency and reporting (as required)
- Ensure funders are acknowledged in the Annual Report
- Make sure funds arriving are coded correctly and safeguarded in line with our legal responsibilities
- Ensure Playcentre Property are aware of relevant projects
Under our new operating model, several funders have specific guidelines we must follow to ensure they consider our application. If a centre makes an independent application without consulting our team, they risk every other centre missing out on the opportunity to apply.

Complete the Grant Enquiry form on the website with as much information as you can as soon as you can

Include 2 quotes addressed to Playcentre Aotearoa and referencing your centre

If relevant, connect with the Property team before you complete the Grant Enquiry form so they can guide you through the process from their side

Allow plenty of time for us to write and submit your application (at least 10 business days, although submission will depend on the funders requirements)
- If the accountability is still outstanding, please notify us of all applications submitted and approved before your centre transitioned – including purpose, amount, and resolution details. Your centre is still responsible for completing this accountability, however we need to be aware.
