Licencing Update
On a licenced session you can only have the maximum number of children on session as per your centre licence. The limit on the licence granted by the Ministry refers to the maximum number of children that can attend at any one time. This limit does not include adults. Regulation 24(2)(i) confirms the licence maximum refers to numbers of children.
The only time the licence isn’t in effect is when you have hired the centre on a non-session time. This is when we refer only to the building capacity.
If a visitor turns up and you are at your licencing maximum, then you would politely show them briefly around and invite them to come back to another session.
