Last month we shared a little about how this exciting mahi was progressing.

This month, one of our Pilot Centres, Lyttleton Playcentre in Christchurch share how they were feeling at the beginning of the Pilot. Here is what they have to say.

Because we have received so many expressions of interest in the Pilot the project team have been working to find a way to extend the Pilot to include more Centres. These Centres will hear from us over the coming weeks.

Many Centres that expressed interest have told us that they already know that they are going to come across to Playcentre Aotearoa as a Branch (the term used in the Trust Deed), so we have also been working on a Branch Agreement to support this. Although we are not able to provide timelines yet, if we have Centres show they are ready to take the next step, the project team will be able to pull together a deliberate plan and communicate this with a greater level of certainty for our whānau.

New information supporting this update is due to be released via our website on the 20th September 2024. Be sure to check it out!

Ngā mihi nui to all those Centre whānau that have followed this journey ki te pae Tawhiti; to distant horizons, who have asked questions, shared their thoughts and taken the time to support this mahi for Playcentres across Aotearoa.

He waka eke noa – We’re all in this together.
