Kaimahi (Administrator) – Onga Onga Playcentre, Takapau Playcentre & Tikokino Playcentre
12 hours per week | Part-time | Starting 20 July 2026
- 4 hours per day over 3 days per week, to be negotiated
- Permanent position during term time only, plus 1 week during each school holiday
About you:
- Strong attention to detail, organised, and able to meet deadlines
- Confident communicator who enjoys helping others and has a can-do attitude
- Understands ECE legislation, licensing requirements, and cooperative working environments
- Experience in Playcentre or Early Childhood settings with a commitment to Playcentre values and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Permanent NZ work rights
About the role:
The Kaimahi is responsible for supporting centre whānau in day-to-day operations, including administration, enrolments, and coordination of centre activities and events.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with Playcentre Aotearoa policies, Licensing criteria, and Health & Safety requirements
- Work with centre whanau in welcoming, inducting, and supporting new whānau, promoting a sense of belonging and engagement
- Collaborate with whānau to manage tasks, resources, and programmes, reflecting Playcentre philosophy and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
