Kia ora koutou katoa,

As we move into winter and through the natural cycle of regeneration, the Operations team are also in a cycle of regeneration and rebirth. The objective of Phase Two is to enable our organisation to become more centre focused and to empower both our kaimahi and member whānau to work, play, learn and grow together. We have been working with the national management team to develop and implement organisational processes to support the implementation of the new structure. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our centre whānau and kaimahi for their passion, commitment and willingness to work together as we move through these organisational changes.

New Appointments
During the past month we have welcomed Stephen O’Neil to the role of Finance Manager. His expertise has already proved valuable, and we look forward to his continued contributions to the organisation. We have also appointed Virginia Driver for a further six months as Acting National Property Manager to provide stability as the property team work to assess the current state of Playcentre properties across the motu. In the next few weeks we will be recommencing the Chief Executive recruitment process. We look forward to welcoming a new Chief Executive onboard in due course.

Licensing Requirements
The Pedagogical and Education Leads and National Support Manager have been working with us on finalising the proposed licensing changes with the Ministry of Education. We are aware that this change has been much anticipated by our members, and we appreciate your patience as we work through the final details. We anticipate that we will have positive news to share on this shortly.

Ngā mihi me ngā manaakitanga,
