In October, Virginia Driver, our National Property Manager, has taken on an additional role of National Health and Safety Manager for a fixed term of six months.
Playcentre Aotearoa is committed to understanding, reviewing and improving its Health and Safety in line with all legislated Health and Safety requirements. As such an external Health and Safety Audit is being undertaken and last week they have visited the Lower North Island Regional Hub, two Lower North Island Playcentres and will be talking to the Board of Trustees in order to review Playcentre Aotearoa’s existing Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Processes. These visits and interviews with staff and Centres represents a slice of Playcentre from the Board through to the Parents in the Centres. The review will inform a report into existing Health and Safety and will make recommendations for improving our systems. We look forward to progressing this work.
