We have now had it gazetted that Course 3 will remain as a Person Responsible qualification after the end of 2020. We are still working with the Ministry to finalise what combination of qualifications will be able to combine with the Course 3 to meet supervision requirements for funding. As soon as we have this confirmed we will update the supervision requirements graphic.

This will be a great relief for some centres who have long standing Course 3 members or employees, who will be able to continue in their roles.

However, we are aware it does not address future proofing issues, as we are no longer able to offer Course 3 so there will be no new Course 3 people to step in as experienced members leave.

We are still working with the Ministry on reviewing the overall licensing/qualifications situation – this is just an initial step to provide immediate assistance for some centres.
