Introducing Lucy Sheppard as PLD Lead
With the phase 2 reset underway, the Playcentre Professional Learning & Development Team is looking a bit different as we move forward into 2021. Kara Daly has shifted to the Pedagogical Lead on the National Management Team, bridging mātauranga (adult learning) through both Playcentre Education and PLD. We warmly welcome Lucy Sheppard to the new PLD Lead role. Lucy brings a dynamic enthusiasm for Playcentre as well as significant experience in the wider education sector. Lucy is also currently at Otūmoetai Playcentre in Tauranga with her youngest child. The facilitation team says “goodbye for now” to several facilitators who have moved to other roles within Playcentre, but who may still make a guest appearance with Playcentre PLD from time to time.
PLD Facilitator Vacancies
There are currently some vacancies for facilitators on the PLD Team, including those with a specialty in Pasifika leadership, Te Ao Māori leadership and in certain locations of the country.
