Finance transition

The past month has seen the Finance Administration Team continue to work with centres on the financial transition to the new model. The team is currently working with over 260 centres across Aotearoa and will be in touch with other centres shortly with the view to completing the transition by 31 August 2025

Information on how finances will work in the new model, along with information about the Financial Transition can be found on our website.

Please review the transition process to ensure you understand what steps need to be taken to:

  • update existing vendors (suppliers) with new contact information,
  • pay outstanding invoices,
  • transfer funds to Playcentre Aotearoa,
  • close bank accounts,
  • deregister with Charities and the IRD (when advised by your Finance Transition Administrator).

If you need support with this process, please contact your Finance Transition Administrator.

Centre whānau are a step closer to having the time and freedom to connect, celebrate and build whanaungatanga as a community and shape your centre’s unique culture.

Centre Donations

To make the biggest impact at your local Playcentre, we encourage whānau to donate directly through your centre’s individual page on the Playcentre website. This ensures your donation goes straight to your centre, helping fund the amazing experiences and resources that benefit your tamariki and community. Donations made via the homepage donate button will support the wider work of Playcentre Aotearoa.

Centre Hires

We are excited to announce the trial of a new online booking system designed to handle one-off Centre hire to simplify the user experience and streamline operations. As part of this initiative, we are seeking expressions of interest from Centres who would like to participate in the trial phase.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide valuable feedback and help shape the future of the centre hire process. If your Centre is interested in taking part, please complete the Centre Hire – Activation form by 18 July 2025 to register your interest.

Ma pango ma whero, ka oti te mahi. With black and with red the work is completed.

As always, we are here to support so if you have any questions, your Centre Advisor or Kaimahi will be able to help or direct you to the right person to speak to.

You will also have the opportunity to feedback on the transition.  Look out for feedback forms which will be sent out soon.

He waka eke noa. We are all in this together.

Ngā mihi nui e te whānau.
