Branch Agreements
The final branch agreements are making their way into our offices with regional staff supporting centres where required.
We’d like to say ngā mihi nui once again for the work put in by both centre whānau and regional staff in making this happen.
Kaimahi
We had another successful 3-day induction of kaimahi last week and now have 60 kaimahi employed with Playcentre Aotearoa.
We have 170 centres with kaimahi in place, with another 49 centres having their kaimahi starting in the next few weeks. We are also on track to have kaimahi in place for another 40 centres at the start of Term 3.
Centre kaimahi will report to kaimahi support leads throughout Aotearoa, with these roles being part of regional teams. We’ve been lucky enough to have a kaimahi support lead in both the North Island and South Island supporting recruitment to date and we thank them for their significant mahi in this space.
If you are interested in applying for the kaimahi role, please see our vacancies page.
Finances
A finance transition administrator has been employed for each region to support the transfer of finances to the new centralised model. The team are working hard to contact centres that have signed the branch agreement to guide them through this process.
To date 186 centres have been contacted and the team are looking forward to working with additional centres over the next few months.
Centre whānau
The new operational model also means a shift in practice for centre whānau, and the PLD team is offering a PLD programme for centre whānau to help you navigate into a new way of working.
