Okato Playcentre
In two months, we have been able to turn around a Centre that was to be closed due to major leaks and water damage, compromising electricals and causing a number of Health & Safety concerns.
This has been accomplished with great cooperation by the Playcentre staff, Centre members and very efficient and willing contractors. We have swaddled the building in plastic wrap and fixed all the damage within, including re-commissioning the lights, plugs and switchboard.
The next stage (funding willing) in December we will re-configure some of the roof and re-roof the entire building including correcting all stormwater flows.
For now though the Centre is open, and we have a very happy community!
Mt Somers/Staveley new swing received its Playsafe Certificate of Compliance
The swings were closed in January due to rotting posts and things can take a while to rectify correctly. After being built we had them inspected by a Playsafe inspector who approved them. The new swings were built by Joseph Builders of Mt Somers who did a great job!
Reminder: Timely Departure for Scheduled Contractor Work
If you have contractors scheduled to complete work, please ensure you leave the premises on time. Contractors are unable to begin their tasks until all members have vacated the space. Your cooperation helps avoid delays and ensures work can be completed as scheduled. Thank you!
Centre Hires
Playcentre has been trialling an online booking system designed to handle one-off Centre hires to simplify the user experience and streamline operations. This trial is on-going, and those centres signed up to use it have been very positive with their feedback in regard to how simple and quick the process is. Please complete the Centre Hire – Activation form to register your interest.
Lockboxes or gate codes at your centre?
Please remember to email AskProperty an update if your centre has changed any entry codes so we have the correct details to provide to contractors.
