Tēnā koutou e te whānau

Nau mai, hoki mai! Welcome back to Term 2!  As we start the transition from autumn to winter, we hope you had a refreshing break and are ready for the new term.

Regional Representatives

Congratulations to all newly elected Whare Representatives! Your role plays a vital part in providing leadership and cultivating strong community ties to support our Centres, Hapori, Rōpū and Regions. Find your Regional Representative’s details on our website.

Whare Vacancies

There are still some vacancies that we’re eager to fill to ensure we have the widest representation of Center Voice in each Whare. To facilitate this, another round of Rōpū and Regional Hui will be scheduled for the second week of term. If you’re interested in becoming a Representative, please fill out this form, and someone will reach out to guide you through the election process.

Representative PD and Networking Session

In term 2 we are excited to launch the first of three termly PD and Networking sessions tailored to supporting our Representatives. These sessions aim to enhance leadership and community-building skills and facilitate nationwide connections among Representatives. We believe that investing in our people is vital for the growth of our Centres, Rōpū, and Regions.

Ngā hui ā-Whare

As leaders of the Whare, the Trustee Board looks forward to welcoming Representatives to this year’s Ngā hui ā-Whare, which will be held Friday June 21st to Sunday June 23rd, at Naumi Auckland Airport Hotel, Auckland.

This event holds great significance in our calendar as it provides an opportunity to connect and discuss important matters in spaces that honour the tikanga, and cultural practices, of each Whare.

Playcentre has a long and proud history of honouring Te Tiriti, ō Waitangi and Ngā hui ā-Whare is just one of the ways we embody our commitment to treaty partnership. The Hui notice provides more information about this year’s event, and we encourage you to support your Representatives as they prepare for this important National Hui.
