Whānau Team Roles

Playcentre whānau team roles

Playcentres are whānau-led community hubs, and parents, grandparents and caregivers play an important role in providing amazing learning opportunities for children’s and adult learning.  In 2025, Playcentres have shifted away from traditional office holder roles (e.g. President, Secretary, Treasurer etc) to a Teams-based approach, with whānau contributing to three key areas.

Detailed information about each of the responsibilties of these teams is available through the links below.  Resources include short videos (between 7min – 22min), slides and additional resources you may find helpful in your team role.

What others are saying

Really great quality education for your little ones. And a supportive network for your whānau that is so much greater than you can anticipate at the beginning.

It is a great way for you and your child to socialise and to learn through play and be a part of the community
