He pai te tirohanga ki ngā mahara mō ngā rā pahemo engari ka puta te māramatanga i runga i te titiro whakamua
It’s fine to have recollections of the past, but wisdom comes from being able to prepare opportunities for the future.
The PLD team is excited to be planning our next annual hui in July where we can prepare opportunities for the future, and we are keen for your thoughts. If there are any centres who have any suggestions for what content they’d like to see in PLD programmes or things for us to consider in how we structure programmes, please let us know we would love your feedback. Feel free to flick an email or make a call to:

Welcome to Ana Johnston
Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to our new Kaiwhakaako Ana Johnston
The position of Kaiwhakaako has been created within Te Wāhanga Mātauranga Playcentre Education team to facilitate and support Playcentre Education to a high standard, with a focus on mātauranga Māori and ākonga Māori. We are absolutely delighted to welcome Ana Johnston, formerly of Naenae Playcentre, into the role! Ana is based in the Lower North Island and will be working 20 hours per week, generally on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Tēnā koutou e te whānau o te motu. Nō Ngā Puhi me Ngāti Apakura ōku iwi. I tipu ake au ki te Whanganui-a-Tara, ā, e noho tonu ana ināianei. Nō Te Whānau Tupu Ngātahi a Naenae. Ko Ana Johnston tāku ingoa.
Greetings to you all! My name is Ana Johnston and I mihi to the beautiful North and the King Country. I am born and raised in Wellington and have been a part of Naenae Playcentre for the last 7 years with my three tamariki. I come from an education background as a primary school teacher and have spent my time at Playcentre soaking up PD and play, being a part of the magic and community with my tamariki and seeing the growth in the whānau around me. I am an advocate for speaking te reo Maori (and any home language you have) loud and proud for our tamariki to absorb. I look forward to working with our pakeke and tamariki and supporting our whanau grow.
Kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawanui ki tā tātou reo!

Music
Below is a template for utilising laminated and in areas where music doesn’t usually visit, eg collage, painting, outside deck so that you could be prompted to come up with ideas to use music – contribute ideas and write on this with a whiteboard pen so that you can come up with different ideas and amend as you go!!!!!
