Playcentre Education Week (Te Wiki o te Wāhanga Mātauranga) is coming up fast!! 

This is the first year we have celebrated Playcentre Education Week.  Check out the options for getting involved below.

Learning through Play Workshops

This year our big focus is on sharing the joy of learning through play! Our tutors are excited to be delivering a week full of Learning through Play workshops right across the motu.  We encourage you to give it a go to find out what is possible when you delve deeper into learning through play!

Kaiwhakaihuwaka – sessions for Education Champions

We are also running online sessions for Kaiwhakaihuwaka Education Champions to connect with workshop coordinators in their region, find out more about the education programme and share challenges, successes and ideas.  We’d love to see you there, just click the link to join the online hui:

  • Free, flexible, hands on and self-paced learning alongside your tamariki
  • The first four modules are designed to support and enhance your parenting, as well as contribute to centre licensing requirements through Playcentre Awards
  • The NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education & Care (Level 4) is a nationally recognised NZQA qualification
  • Options to learn face-to-face, via interactive webinar, or self-directed online
