PLD Hui

Once a year, the Playcentre Professional Learning and Development (PLD) team come together to share experiences, knowledge and ideas for the year ahead. This year we met in Ōtautahi Christchurch. The topics we discussed included the full gazetting of Te Whāriki, tikanga, key principles of Tapasā and a taster of the new Creativity Leadership programme. We also reflected on our PLD team history and previous and current members acknowledging their contributions to Playcentre.

Strengthening Early Learning Opportunities (SELO) Programmes

The beginning of July marks the beginning of the next round of Strengthening Early Learning Opportunities (SELO) programmes. The programmes are allocated by Region and the PLD team works with the regional teams to determine exactly where the programmes are best placed. If you have any questions about SELO programmes please contact [email protected].

PLD Team

The PLD team has five permanent members, Liz Neill, Karen Moetu Thomas, Karina Hart, Rebecca Congalton and Kara Daly, who can respond to extra requests for support in your area. While SELO delivery is still our focus, we are aiming to grow our capacity to respond to specific one-off requests.
