Take a look at Toi Tois Playgroup new Pizzeria area!
Our tamariki are really enjoying dramatic play throughout the centre at the moment. Having a pizzeria in the playdough area was a great way to inspire new dramatic play senarios into their play, engage younger and older children and add a bit of excitement to an area that can often be overlooked or taken for granted. It’s always exciting to see how children interact with new provocations. Some enjoyed grating “cheese” playdough, some liked talking on the phone taking orders, some used their emergent writing skills to take orders while others enjoyed being the delivery people. We’re excited to see where this goes next…maybe making cardboard box delivery vans or making actual pizza to eat together!
