Space at Playcentre

Space for you and your baby

Playcentres welcome children from age 0-6, and infants are welcome to attend most Playcentre sessions and participate in the regular activities. However, we also offer more specialised sessions where there is a real focus on the needs of newborns to 1 year olds, as well as the support and friendship of other new parents. Find out more about these tailored programmes below.

It’s no secret that being a new parent can come with a lot of happiness & a fair share of challenges!

Adjusting to your new life, new routine (or lack of it) and new baby can be a daunting task that is sure to raise many questions.

At Space you and your baby will connect with other new parents & their babies, to explore parenting and children’s development in a safe, facilitated environment. Your Space group will meet weekly, giving you and your baby the chance to make real connections during your baby’s first year.

You & your baby will explore music and movement, crafts, books & a variety of play experiences. You will discover ways to support and extend your baby’s learning & development, including ideas for play experiences at home.

You will get to consider different parenting perspectives, perhaps find out some new information, and have some great, facilitated discussions as you discover ways that work for you and your baby.
