- helps you cement your sense of belonging at and understanding of Playcentre, while also growing your skills as a parent.
- is designed to fit around families’ busy lives. We have rolling enrolments, you can start and stop whenever you need to…and if you are super keen, you can work on two modules at once!
- is a Zero Fees programme that does not impact your fees-free tertiary study allowance
- makes it easy for Primary teachers to meet supervision requirements through the Playcentre Primary Teacher Bridging Award
- offers a NZQA approved qualification funded by TEC: the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4). We offer awards along the way that support your Playcentre to meet licensing requirements.
- have just received our latest NZQA EER (External Education and Review) Report with Playcentre Education ranked as a Category 1 provider – the highest category – reflecting our commitment to providing a top-class programme and experience for our ākonga learners.
Term 3 info sessions for Whakaihuwaka – Playcentre Education Champions
If you are interested in supporting Playcentre Education in your local centre(s), come along to join the Education Team and other Education Champions to learn more about the Playcentre Education programme, kōrero about how to promote it and share ideas about supporting whānau through the awards and certificate. You don’t need to be Education Officer to attend – this session is for anyone who has seen the benefit of Playcentre Education and wants to awhi others in their education journey.

Facebook support groups
Did you know that there are two Facebook support groups run by Playcentre Education? These are another way to ask questions to the team and make sure that you are getting up to date information.
