Treasurers looking for paid work
Our Finance team is looking for an experienced Playcentre Treasurer to help us support our volunteer Treasurers on a fixed term or casual basis. This is a paid role of 10-20 hours per week which can be done remotely. If you are interested in this role, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Paid Role” and we can provide some more details.
Equity Funding Reporting
Playcentre Aotearoa are required to report to the Ministry of Education (MoE) on the Equity Funding our Playcentres received last year that ended in August 2023 (Nov 2022 – Jul 2023 bulk funding rounds). Every Playcentre that received Equity Funding must report on the funding received and how and why this funding was spent by the Playcentre. Please note this information also needs to be provided to the Playcentre members/families.
In order to complete our reporting to the MoE we have created a simple online form for Centres who received Equity funding to complete. This form, which is available now can be accessed by clicking on the link below. All eligible Centres have been sent a letter showing a breakdown of how much equity funding they received per category to assist you in completing the online form.

The deadline for completing this online form is Sunday 28th April 2024.
SPACE/BCP Hosting
If you have SPACE or BCP using your Playcentre, you need to invoice Playcentre Aotearoa each term for centre hireage. The rate is $20 per session (+GST if you are GST registered). If you are unsure about how many sessions are running at your Playcentre, please contact your Centre Advisor and they can confirm for you (the SPACE/BCP term is sometimes different from the Playcentre term dates). When you have created the invoice in Xero, email it to Playcentre Aotearoa Accounts Payable [email protected]
