Tēnā koutou katoa

Over the past 12 weeks, I have provided daily updates so that Playcentre staff and whānau have been kept informed of all the many directives coming from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health, as well as all the news generated within our own organisation.  With the downgrading of Alert Levels to Level 1, we are effectively back to business as usual.  Before the pandemic it was usual to have our monthly bulletins as the main source of news for members and staff and we will shortly return to the monthly bulletin.  However, given that there are a number of outstanding issues – our Government funding, the restructure of Playcentre, which I put a hold on at the beginning of the lockdown – I have decided to provide as well a weekly update on Fridays to ensure you receive a regular communication from me.

Funding

I will be meeting the Associate Education Minister Tracey Martin again next week to further discuss our funding issues.
