From 1 April 2022, the minimum wage in New Zealand will rise from $20.00 per hour, to $21.20 per hour. If you have any centre-paid employees who are currently being paid at the minimum wage, you need to be aware that the wage bill will increase to reflect the new minimum wage as of 1 April this year.
The regional and national teams will handle the logistics of making this change, and centres will see the increased cost reflected in the wages invoices.
