Just a short pānui to wrap up the end of the year. In the New Year we have a number of projects on the Playcentre Aotearoa work plan. I will update you on these projects early next year. Over the coming months a number of new positions will be appointed to strengthen our focus on supporting our centres.

We are entering an exciting phase of development for Playcentre Aotearoa. I, personally, am inspired by the work ahead of us and what we aim to achieve in 2021. I will provide further updates on how things are unfolding as we move through the year.

Our phase two work continues and I’m pleased to announce the appointments of the following Regional Managers.

Anna Louise Fleet – Regional Manager Auckland/Taitokerau region

Kaye Connelly – Regional Manager Central North Island

Paulene Gibbons – Regional Manager Lower North Island

Anna Steel – Upper South Island Region

Antoinette McLean – Lower South Island Region

Our Regional Managers are crucial to the function of Playcentre Aotearoa. Each of these managers bring a great deal of experience to our organisation and provide the foundation to bring us confidently into the future. Congratulations to all our Regional Managers.

Due to on-going personal commitments, Meg Cooksley has decided to resign her position as Human Resources Manager. This will allow her greater flexibility to respond to her family needs. Playcentre Aotearoa wishes Meg well with her future endeavours.

Finally, I cannot thank you all enough for your work and involvement in Playcentre Aotearoa over the past year. Playcentre has shown resilience through some tough moments and this is all because of you.

I hope you have a relaxing and restful break over the festive season with your whānau and tamariki.

Ngā mihi me ngā manaakitanga o te wā

Thomas Tawhiri
