Auditing of Financial Statements

Playcentre Aotearoa produces Group financial statements, which are externally audited.  Some Playcentres also prepare their own financial statements and have these audited.  This is not a legal requirement but may be required by landlords or by a Playcentre’s own rules.  If not required by an external party, you may also want to consider whether your financial statements need to be audited and update your rules to reflect this.

If your Playcentre has its financial statements audited, please send a copy of the financial statements and audit report to [email protected] so it can be available to the finance team and Playcentre Aotearoa’s invoices.

A reminder that Playcentre encourages “whistleblowing”.  If anyone has any concerns or suspicion of serious wrongdoing (including poor financial management, theft or inappropriate behaviour relating to Playcentre), these should be raised with your regional office or directly with the Chief Financial Officer [email protected]

Invoices from Playcentre Aotearoa

Each Centre has different practices around the use of the Centre email account.  Currently, this is the address used for all invoices from Playcentre Aotearoa.  Where the Centre email account is accessible by many or all members, it’s more appropriate for invoices from Playcentre Aotearoa to be sent to the Treasurer or President’s email address instead, as these may contain confidential staff information.  If this applies to your Centre, please send an email from the Centre email to [email protected] advising the email address where invoices should be sent.  Please remember to update us when this email address changes.
